Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar yesterday has reminded members of the public to conduct physical activities to prevent non-communicable diseases as the COVID-19-enforced break prevents people from doing group exercises.

“With current concerns facing the spread of the COVID-19 outbreak, the public is reminded not to forget physical activity and to have an active lifestyle of at least 30 minutes a day for adults and 60 minutes a day for children. This is to maintain the health of the body and to prevent non-communicable diseases which can be prevented by practising physical activity,” the minister said.

“Physical activity can be done individually either indoors, around the yard or in recreational parks and not in groups, and to always practise physical distancing between people.”
