Efforts launched to rectify driving, vehicle licence renewal delays

The Land Transport Department (JPD) has been using Darussalam Hotline 123 (TD123) service for driving licence and vehicle licence renewal since April 13 as an initiative to reduce the number of people at JPD counters.

TD123 authorities admitted to delays in handling application and inquiries through hotline, email and WhatsApp LiveChat due to an increase in the number of calls by two folds
than normal.

TD123 apologised for the inconveniences and thanked the public for their cooperation and feedback. Steps to tackle the issue is underway.

E-Darussalam account activation takes two to three days while renewal of driving and vehicle licence takes five days.

The Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications urged the public to renew the driving licence and vehicle licence online through government website www.gov.bn or TransportBN application. For information, the public can visit www.123.gov.bn or its social media @TD123 on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.
