Representatives from several private agencies handed over donations to assist the Brunei Government, particularly the Ministry of Health (MoH), in the COVID-19 fight as part of their corporate social responsibility (CSR).
Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar and Permanent Secretary at the MoH Haji Abdul Manap bin Othman received the contributions at the ministry yesterday.
Also present were Acting Director of Policy and Planning at the MoH Hajah Siti Ajar binti Haji Yusof and Acting Director of Administration and Finance at the MoH Sufinah binti Haji Serudin.
Society of Anaesthesiologists of Brunei Darussalam was represented by President Dr Haji Zulaidi bin Haji Abdul Latif who presented a cheque for BND10,000; Waznah Enterprise, represented by Mohamed Salim bin Abdul Hameed presented a cheque for BND15,000; Hufainaiz Company Sdn Bhd represented by Liakath Ali bin Abdul Hameed presented a cheque for BND5,000; NBT Brunei, represented by Managing Director Haji Ahmad Omar bin Pehin Dato Haji Husin presented a cheque for BND10,000; Grand Motors Sdn Bhd, represented by Project Manager Major (Rtd) Ramlie bin Mohd Arriff presented a cheque for BND10,000; Premier Motors Sdn Bhd represented by Director Teng Chee How presented a cheque for BND5,000 and Sri Azlina Sdn Bhd represented by Director Shahul Hameed Haja Mohideen presented a cheque for BND10,000.
The Lion’s Club represented by President Sushell Kaur and Treasurer Diana Solinap presented 24,000 units of surgical mask; while 30,000 surgical masks was presented by Teng Chin Ying Sdn Bhd represented by Director Teng Chee Kiong.
SC Tubular Solutions (B) Sdn Bhd also presented BND10,000 worth of items comprising five units of 18kg washers/dryers and 10 units of infrared forehead temperature devices delivered to the Health Promotion Centre yesterday.
Sufinah received the donations from SC Tubular Solutions General Manager Philip Grant.
