Couple claims trial to possession of bullets charges

A local couple were indicted in the Intermediate Court last Monday, for the alleged possession of bullets.

Mohammad Zulhilmi bin Mohd Hussin, 39, and his wife Saltinawati binti Haji Abu Bakar, 43, have denied the charges under the Arms and Explosives Act, alleging them of possessing 21 pieces of bullets at their home in RPN Kampong Panchor Mengkubau.

Mohammad Zulhilmi is said to have possessed the bullets sometime between February 22 and March 3, while Saltinawati was allegedly in possession of the bullets from 2014 up to February 20, this year.

The case has been adjourned to April 28. Judge Pengiran Masni binti Pengiran Haji Bahar released the couple on bail, but they were remanded, as they could not raise bail.

Deputy Public Prosecutor Raihan Nabilah binti Haji Ahmad Ghazali prosecuted the case.
