Brunei LNG Sdn Bhd yesterday donated 650 medical scrubs to the Ministry of Health (MoH) in support of frontliners battling the COVID-19 outbreak.

Also making a contribution to the medical personnel was Brunei Gas Carriers Sdn Bhd (BGC) in the form of medical supplies, which amounted to BND13,555.20.

Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar accepted the donations from Brunei LNG Finance Manager and Sponsorship Committee Chairperson Pengiran Mas Norhazilinah binti Pengiran Momin and BGC representative Haji Nor Mahadi bin Haji Hosaini, who is also a marine engineer.

“While Brunei LNG continues to contribute to the nation’s revenue, our medical frontliners are working around the clock to ensure we all make it through this outbreak,” said Pengiran Mas Norhazilinah, while extending her gratitude towards the ministry for its unwavering commitment to mitigating the coronavirus spread in the country.

Meanwhile, Haji Nor Mahadi said the contribution was a compilation of individual donations from the BGC staff in hopes to alleviate some of the burden borne by the ministry during these trying times.

Among the medical items donated were 86 boxes of respirator masks, 198 packets of shoe covers, 1,026 face visors, 174 boxes of aprons, and 236 packs of head covers.
