Visiting graves or cemeteries during Ramadhan has become a tradition for Muslims in the nation to clean their relatives’ graves and pray for the departed.
In light of the COVID-19 outbreak, Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar advised the public to not conduct any mass gathering for such visits even if the virus is currently under control.
“Reciting Surah Al-Fatihah from home is sufficient. When visiting, just stick to one or two person for now. We have sacrificed for seven weeks and just a few more weeks to go. We have to see how we can move on especially with the economy and movement of the people, Insya Allah,” he said.
