Autoriti Monetari Brunei Darussalam (AMBD) announced it will be closed today and will resume operations on April 27 to welcome Ramadhan.
AMBD also announced changes in its working hours and operating hours for the Real-Time Gross Settlement (RTGS) and Automated Cheque Clearing House (ACH) systems during Ramadhan.
Its working hours are from Monday to Thursday from 8am – 3pm and on Friday, it is from 7.30am-11.30am
The RTGS Systemis open from 9am-2pm on Monday to Thursday, and from 9am–11am for Friday.
For the ACH System, its working hours are from 8.45am-1.40pm on Monday to Thursday and for Friday, it is from 8.45am–10.50am.
AMBD’s Credit Bureau Services (Self-Inquiry Reports and Dispute Resolution) is also closed.

The AMBD Currency Gallery and Gift Shop are also closed. Certain commemorative notes and coins may be purchased from the Brunei Arts and Handicraft Training Centre and from Aewon Garment and Embroidery outlets at the Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Complex and Radisson Hotel Brunei.
Meanwhile, the AMBD Coin Deposit Machine is also closed and customers can deposit their coins with their banks for redemption.
The Financial Consumer Issues (Complaints Handling Desk) service is open via correspondence. Complaints can be forwarded via email at [email protected] or by calling 2380007 during office hours.
For the Unclaimed Balances Counter, it is also open via correspondence. The public can send unclaimed balances request via email to [email protected]
