The Ministry of Education (MoE) has informed that the Primary School Assessment (PSR), which often takes place in October, is still scheduled as per usual despite the COVID-19 outbreak.
This was said by Minister of Education Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Hamzah bin Haji Sulaiman at the press conference yesterday on an issue of affected examinations.
The minister, however, added that the current curriculum needs to be assessed and there will be changes in the syllabus according to how much the Year 6 students can learn by October.
“The examination will not assess students on the topics that are not covered in the curriculum by October. That might be the only change,” said the minister.
The minister also said that the MoE will look into alternative assessment methods in grading for the PSR examination.
