38 pints collected at blood donation campaign

A total of 38 pints of blood were collected in a blood donation campaign organised by the COVID-19 Volunteer Operation (Sukarelawan Belia) in collaboration with the Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha (RIPAS) Hospital Blood Donation Centre yesterday.

The blood donation campaign was held at the Pusat Bahagia of the Community Development Department in Pulaie.

Present to support the blood donors at the campaign was Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin.

Volunteers of the COVID-19 Volunteer Operation, senior officers, officers and staff members of the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports participated.

Permanent Secretary (Administration, Finance and Estate) at the MCYS Pengiran Mohd Amirrizal bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud

also participated. In ensuring the safety of all parties involved, social distancing measures as advised by the Ministry of Health were adhered to during the campaign.

All donors were assisted for a brief medical check-up by the medical officers in charge prior to the donation.

The donation was to support and replenish blood supply at the Blood Donation Centre.
