A total of 128 participants battled it out to determine who is the best at spinning top, in the open category of the ‘Beyblade’ competition at the Box in Telanai on Friday.
Organised by Brunei Beyblade Community (2BC) and Game Master, with support from The Box, Telanai, the competition attracted public interest in Beyblade.
Nazrie of Game Master said, “We have participants from age five to 60 years competing in the event. You’ll be surprised with the results – most of the winners are kids.”
Over the last few years, the game has attracted the attention of serious players competing in tournaments in the Brunei-Muara District and Belait District.
“We have hosted numerous tournaments nationwide to introduce Beyblade and attract more young people into the game. It’s a fun family activity, where everyone can participate. It’s beneficial for your reflexes and innovative thinking as you need to customise with your own winning Beyblade against your opponent,” Nazrie added.
