Students, teachers awarded for academic performance

Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha Secondary School organised an academic award ceremony at its multi-purpose hall yesterday.

A total of 56 recipients were awarded for their 2019 Brunei-Cambridge GCE ‘O’ Level and IGCSE results.

The event also saw 16 recipients awarded ‘Best Student’ in several subjects and five awarded Progressive Students 2019.

Teachers who achieved national target for their subjects were also awarded.

Guest of honour, Head of cluster 4 Hajah Sarifah binti Haji Matsawali presented certificates and prizes to the recipients.

The event began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah led by Ashadi bin Haji Kassim and continued with the recitation of Surah Al-‘am verses 1 – 9 by Year 10B student Nur’ Ameera Hakeemah binti Shahraimi.

The school’s Principal Hajah Amal Nuriyah binti Haji Ahmad Kumpoh congratulated the students for their hard work and conveyed her appreciation to teachers for their commitment and to parents for their support.

Hajah Sarifah congratulated the school for the three consecutively years of continued improvement of GCE ‘O’ Level and IGCSE examination’s results.

The event continued with students’ and teachers’ performances and a special speech by a representative of Year 11 student of 2019.

Village heads, principals, deputy principals, teachers, parents and guardians of the recipients were also present.
