SMSA welcomes new PTA members

Outgoing members of the Sayyidina Ali Secondary School (SMSA) Parents and Teachers Association (PTA) were recently acknowledged during the Dissolution of PTA Members (2017-2019), and appointment of PTA members (2020-2022) session held at the school.

Principal Steven Shim Sheau Huei thanked PTA members of the 2017-2019 session for their contribution and achievements.

He said the culture of collaboration and cooperation between the school, students and PTA members is a potent recipe that can lead to a positive growth mindset.

Meanwhile, PTA Chairman Nordin bin Haji Zainal recalled activities conducted throughout the three years, and expressed gratitude to former PTA members who have helped pave the way for future members to further develop the school.

Certificates were awarded to outgoing PTA members, before the new ones were appointed.

Among the newly elected members are Nordin bin Haji Zainal – who retained his position as chairman; Erna Sumarne binti Haji Sumardi (Secretary), Agus Dida (Assistant Secretary), Hartini Ahmad Jawawi (Treasurer) and Syazwani Iskandar (Assistant Treasure).

Nine members comprising parents and guardians signed up to be in the executive committee, bringing the total number to 17. The Acting Principal holds the post of Advisor, while Deputy Principal (Academic) Sharifah Raihani binti Haji Wan Ali is the Auditor.
