Shedding light on Arabic Language teaching at Osaka University

Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) through the Faculty of Arabic Language conducted a Bicara Khas titled ‘Teaching Arabic at Osaka University: Exploring Collaboration with a Variety of Disciplines’ at UNISSA yesterday.

Director of Arabic Language Study Professor Kumiko Kondo from Osaka University, Japan delivered the talk. Professor Quamrul Hassan from the Centre of Global Initiatives, Osaka University was also present.

The talk touched on the history of Arabic Language studies in Japan as well as the learning and teaching of Arabic Language in Japan – especially the experiences and approaches in teaching at Osaka University.

The talk was one of the programmes lined up during the Osaka University representatives’ visit, providing them a platform to understand the teachings and learning of Arabic Language at UNISSA.

The visit also provides an opportunity for both institutions to explore collaboration on programmes and activities.
