The National Football Association of Brunei Darussalam (NFABD) has suspended all matches in the Brunei Super League immediately until further notice amid rising concerns of the novel coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) in the country.

After seeking advice from relevant parties, NFABD has taken the decision to announce the postponement and apologised for any inconvenience caused.

NFABD offers its prayers that everyone including footballers in the Sultanate will be given protection from Allah the Almighty against any unfortunate disasters.

The third round of fixtures have initially been scheduled this weekend with a top-of-the-table clash between Kasuka FC and Kota Ranger FC as well as a blockbuster tie between reigning holders MS ABDB and Indera SC billed to be huge games in the context of the title.

Similar steps have also been taken in the district level with the announcement of the suspension of the Tutong District Amateur Football Association League.

Meanwhile for grassroots football, Projek Ikan Pusu’s weekly training will also be temporarily suspended until further notice.
