New restaurant opened at FRD Headquarters

An opening ceremony for Harini Catering Service Sdn Bhd, known as Stadium Restaurant, was held at the headquarters of the Fire and Rescue Department’s (FRD) multi-purpose hall, yesterday.

It was officiated by the guest of honour, Acting Director of the FRD Lim Hock Guan with Brunei-Muara District Officer Misle bin Haji Abdul Karim and Managing Director of Harini Catering Service Sdn Bhd Lim Chai Huat.

Lim Chai Huat shared on the opening of the first branch of the restaurant since its establishment in 1990 – 30 years ago and expressed his appreciation to the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports as well as the media for the support.

He added that the opening of the restaurant is to replace its current restaurant at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium which will be closed this June due to the major reconstruction of the stadium. “I promised that the restaurant can bring and reach the 5 ‘S’ level – Sedap, Sihat, Segar, Selesa and Sempurna – to customers, and thank you to FRD as well as our partners for their support,” he said.

The event also saw the handing over of contribution worth BND1,000 to the Fire Fighter Welfare Fund by Chairman of Harini Restaurant Sdn Bhd Pengiran Haji Zulkifly bin Pengiran Haji Umar. Senior Superintendent of Fire and Rescue Pengiran Azizul Rahman bin Pengiran Haji Yusof in his capacity as the Chairman of Brunei Firefighters Association received the contribution.
