Dynamik Technologies yesterday announced that it has been successfully re-appraised at Maturity Level 3 (ML3) of CMMI Institute’s Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) V.2.0, making the company the first in the Southeast Asia region, and 8th in the Asia-Pacific region to be appraised with the updated CMMI v2.0 model for ML3.
CMMI is a capability improvement framework that provides organisation with the essential elements of effective processes that ultimately improve their performance. The appraisal was performed by mfQ Asia in the last quarter of 2019.
CMMI Institute is the global leader in the advancement of best practices in people, process and technology. It aims to inspire cultures of continuous improvement across critical business capabilities including product development, service excellence and workforce management.
Announcing the proud achievement at Dynamik’s office in Anggerek Desa Tech Park yesterday, its CEO Haslina binti Haji Mohd Taib shared that an appraisal at Maturity Level 3 indicates the organisation is performing at a “defined” level.
At this level, processes are well characterised and understood, and are described in standards, procedures, tools, and methods. The organisation’s set of standard processes, which is the basis for maturity level 3, is established and improved over time.
Haslina added that Dynamik Technologies has been rated at CMMI Maturity Level 3 for three times running, with the appraisal taking place every three years.
“This time, eight projects were appraised across the Operations, Integration & Quality, Business Development and Human Resource Teams; ranging across software development, managed services, maintenance and support, project quality assurance as well as organisational training programmes.
”This achievement continues to position Dynamik Technologies as being the only local IT company which is on par with world-class organisations in terms of best practices in software and organisational development,” she said, while praising the hard work from all her team members that allowed them to reach the standards.
With the appraisal, Haslina said it meant that their projects use processes and are planned and executed accordingly with skilled people. “With processes in Project Management benchmarked against global standards, it meant that we are able to deliver our projects on time and on budget.
“These are important factors for all our clients. Achieving CMMI also inspired in our people a culture of continuous improvement for the betterment of the organisation and ultimately passing on the benefit to our clients.”
“This reaffirms our capabilities towards contributing to the improvement of service efficiency through citizen and customer centric systems for both the government and the private sector,” she emphasised.

Haslina also said that the appraisal also means that Dynamik Technologies now had more edge outside of Brunei, especially in pursuing their dreams to expand beyond Brunei’s borders, to compete or partner in projects along-side established and big names in the software development space.
