Selected mosques across the four districts continue to be sanitised in accordance with the guidelines set by the Ministry of Health to ensure they are safe for use. The temporary closure of mosques, suraus and religious halls continue until March 30.

At the Kampong Selangan Mosque in the Temburong Disrict, a thorough cleaning is ongoing.

The Ministry of Religious Affairs on Monday said the call to prayer (Azan) will continue as normal, with mosque officials required to perform their duties.

The prayer in congregation by officers-in- charge as well as Zikir (remembrance of Allah the Almighty) and Doa (its supplications and recitation of the Quranic verses before or after the prayer) should also be echoed through speakers whenever appropriate, to enliven the mosque and spread the teachings of Islam.
