A ceremony to mark the end of the four-day Open Day event hosted by Kolej International Graduate Studies (KIGS) along with its 7th Vibe Identity Creative Arts and Design Exhibition was held last weekend.

The ceremony also coincided with the acknowledgement of the college’s participation in the 36th National Day celebration.

KIGS CEO Dr Haji Azaharaini bin Haji Jamil said he hoped to see police or army cadet activities taking place at the college soon, in addition to exploring ways of instilling patriotism among youth.

“I think that KIGS has a role to play in enhancing national patriotism through its multimedia capabilities, as well as humanity activities,” he said.

Aside from the parade, KIGS also participated in a National Day Hashtag painting, on a request from the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.

“This is a sign of trust and appreciation which indicates that they were impressed by our previous accomplishments. We should continue to make an impression on the public, as a means of boosting KIGS’ image,” said Dr Haji Azaharaini.

The KIGS CEO joined the academic and administrative staff in the singing of patriotic songs as well as a recent composition for the 36th National Day Mempertingkatkan Daya Saing Bangsa by the students, senior staff and members of the local artists association.

The CEO was also presented with books written by two KIGS lecturers – Head of Multimedia and Broadcasting Haji Hasnul bin Hamdani and Head of General Studies Mohd Syakirin bin Suhaimi.
