Lease for new school site inked

International School Brunei (ISB) signed a lease agreement with Brunei Shell Petroleum Company Sdn Bhd (BSP), for the new site of its Kuala Belait campus last Friday.

BSP in recognising the demand for an internationally accredited school in the Belait District, coupled with their strategic social investment and corporate responsibility objectives, granted ISB the licence to use and move their school and operations to Seria.

Signing on behalf of BSP was its Commercial and Corporate Director Hajah Farida binti Dato Seri Paduka Haji Talib, while ISB was represented by the Chairman of ISB Board of Directors Ahmad bin Isa.

BSP Integrated Facilities Manager Mazlina Maawiah, ISB Board of Directors Roy Kurian and ISB Executive Principal Laura Thomas witnessed the signing.

Head of Primary (ISB Seria) Yynda Thomas said, “ISB is very positive about the future growth of our Seria School. The community is very supportive of the move, the improved facilities and the recent developments in our extracurricular programmes. We are very grateful for BSP’s ongoing support.”

The new campus will be located at F19, Simpang 35-1, Seria.

Students from the Kuala Belait school will move to the new campus on March 30.
