Kasuka SC enjoyed a perfect start in the Brunei Super League after they overpowered newcomers KB FT with a handsome 5-0 victory at the Tutong Sports Complex recently.
The 2019 runners-up joined league regulars MS ABDB, Kota Ranger and Wijaya FC in the win column as well as new boys DPMM FC II.
Taylor Leon opened the scoring for Kasuka in the 17th minute before Yapo Adja Franck Alwin doubled the lead on the half an hour mark.
New signing Asri Haji Aspar scored in his league debut for Kasuka SC since making the switch from Indera SC five minutes before the break.
The Kuala Belait side endured further setback as Hanif Aiman Haji Adanan, last season’s league top scorer, found the net a minute before the hour mark before Mardi Mirza Abdullah Bujang added the icing of the cake with his side’s fifth goal four minutes from time.
Jerudong FC also made an excellent start to the campaign after a 3-0 victory over Tabuan, one of six new teams in the league this year at the Berakas Sports Complex.
Goals from Micky Anak Gindi, Mudzaffar Alarif Rafae’a and substitute Masrimin Salih wrapped up victory for the Jerudong-based outfit.
