Info Dept’s Personal Contact Programme goes to Tutong

The Information Department under the Prime Minister’s Office, through its Tutong District Branch, held the Personal Contact Programme for Kampong Keriam in Tutong District at the village’s Community Hall.

The programme’s delegation was led by Head of the Nationhood and Community Division and Acting Senior Information Officer Ruhil Amal Faridah binti Yahya.

Acting Village Head of Kampong Keriam Ahanapi bin Haji Mahadi, officers and staff members of the Information Department and members of the Kampong Keriam Village Consultative Council attended.

The programme aimed to encourage the public and residents to bring a positive attitude in line with national interests, provide a platform for information exchange between the government and the people and provide information on current issues and government policies as well as receive feedback from relevant parties.

The programme saw a discussion on issues regarding the preparation of infrastructure, public facilities, safety, environmental cleanliness and economy.

The programme also saw information sharing on excerpts of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam’s titahs that touched on the relationship between the monarch and people, economy, welfare, and the development of people’s lives and the country, the aim of the Personal Contact Programme, national flag, acts related to false news, adopting a cooperative attitude on issues of hygiene, and departmental programmes under the Public Relations Unit including the Information Department’s Muzakarah Programme.

The programme also saw the introduction and promotion of the ‘InfoDeptBN’ application which can be downloaded through the Google Play Store and AppStore.
