With the current outbreak of COVID-19 in the Sultanate, the Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) is taking precaution to control the possibility of infection by deferring studies at the UNISSA campus from March 14 to March 28.

However, teaching and learning is still conducted through online via Learning Management System (LMS) and any other teaching and learning technology.

UNISSA has taken several precautions including performing Sunnat Hajat prayer and reciting ‘Doa Tolak Bala’ to seek safety and protection for all students and members of UNISSA and people of Brunei Darussalam, postponing all activities organised by UNISSA that involve community service, vacating the UNISSA Residential College for local students; ensuring the cleanliness of the UNISSA campus environment; conducting body temperature checks and providing hand sanitisers and masks.

The university reminded members to take appropriate action and adhere to the Guidelines for Preparation and Prevention of COVID-19 for public service released by the Prime Minister’s Office, and the COVID-19 development released by the Ministry of Health.

UNISSA in collaboration with the Ministry of Health will continue to monitor the progress of the COVID-19 outbreak.
