Call to practise MIB values

Duli Pengiran Muda Al-Muhtadee Billah College (Maktab Duli) celebrated Brunei Darussalam’s 36th National Day at the college auditorium yesterday.

The event began with a welcoming speech from the guest of honour, Senior Special Duties Officer of the Secretariat of the Malay Islamic Monarchy (MIB) Supreme Council Haji Ramlee bin Haji Tinkong.

He called on the students and youth to appreciate and practise the values in the concept of MIB.

He highlighted that the youth function as agents of change, moral support and dosage control so that they can be useful to society.

Students from the choir, Gulintangan, traditional dance and uniformed group performed at the event.

Among the competitions were the National Day Crossword Puzzle and National Day T-shirt Design. The guest of honour presented prizes to the winners.

Acting Principal of the college Hajah Monaliza binti Haji Abdul Halim, Deputy Principal (Academic) Sahrulbariah binti Haji Sulaiman and Deputy Principal (Administration) Dayangku Zalina binti Pengiran Haji Aliuddin were present.

The event ended with the handing over of the national flag to next year’s event organisers.
