Brunei Pegasus’ losing streak continues

Brunei Pegasus currently sits at the bottom of the Thailand Basketball Super League without a win after six matches.

The latest loss was last Sunday when Brunei’s only professional basketball team was crushed by Team Zno Eagles from the Philippines 146-122 at the Nimibutr Stadium.

Imports of Brunei Pegasus played a decent game with Roider Cabrebra scoring 50 points with eight rebounds and four assists as well as three steals, his compatriot Leonidez Avenido contributed 41 points, five rebounds and six assists as well as four steals. The towering centre of Pavle has huge rebounding game totalling 34 rebounds and scoring 25 points.

Shorthanded, Samuel Jong the founder of the team was forced to put on his jersey for the team and finished with six points, 10 rebounds and four assists as well as two steals. The remaining players did not record any points for the team.

Team Zno Eagles, which was also without a win in the league, finally captured its first victory after the win against Brunei Pegasus. The team possessed a much balanced mix of players with 10 players scoring in the match and six were in double digits.

Import Ivan Meca Brylle managed to contribute 28 points, seven rebounds and six assists while Ricardo Jr had a triple double night of 27 points, 11 rebounds with 19 assists. Ibarra Jonathan finished with 26 points with five assists and one rebound .

After the loss, Coach Padrigao of Brunei Pegasus did not have any comment about the team’s performance.

Brunei Pegasus’ next game is against NS matrix from Malaysia on March 6.
