BBBF reaffirms commiment to expand trade

The Britain Brunei Business Forum (BBBF) held its 19th Annual General Meeting at the residence of the British High Commissioner to Brunei Darussalam Richard Lindsay on Wednesday.

Yvonne Kuan was re-elected as Chair of the forum while Jacky Teo and Yeeman Cheng were elected as Treasurer and Secretary. The meeting also proposed the election of three new committee members.

Richard Lindsay welcomed the audience.

Yvonne Kuan opened the meeting by presenting the Chair’s report outlining the forum’s activities and events, and welcomed several new members who joined the forum in 2019 while the Treasurer presented the Treasurer’s Report, followed by the election and acceptance of new members of the Executive Committee. The event concluded with a networking dinner. Members and guests met business associates from a wide range of businesses in Brunei.

“I am honoured and delighted to be re-elected as Chair of the BBBF for 2020. My committee and I are committed to further trade between British and Bruneian businesses, as well as remaining active in organising key talks, dialogues and events for the Britain Brunei Business Forum,” said Yvonne Kuan. She also welcomed the new members from all fields of businesses in Brunei Darussalam adding that BBBF will accept online membership applications through their website.
