The School of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Politeknik Brunei (PB) organised the ICT.INNOV8, a one-day seminar focussing on ‘Empowering Education 4.0’ yesterday.

An event to align PB’s efforts with the nation’s approach towards the Fourth Industrial Revolution (IR 4.0), the seminar took place at One Stop Centre of PB’s main campus in Jalan Ong Sum Ping.

The opening ceremony was officiated by Acting Director of Politeknik Brunei Alias bin Haji Abu Bakar. It began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah followed by a welcoming speech by the guest of honour and a Doa Selamat.

‘INNOV8’, termed after the word ‘innovation’, is an important extracurricular initiative under the sustenance of PB’s School of ICT.

Aimed at contributing to society’s IT literacy and playing a proactive role in shaping the ICT talents in Brunei Darussalam, this is the second time the institution is hosting this programme.
