21 receive Islamic Financial Planner certification

Twenty-one Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam (BIBD) employees have recently completed the Islamic Financial Planner (IFP) certification programme conducted by the Islamic Banking Finance Institute Malaysia (IBFIM), bringing the total number of certified Islamic Financial Planners in BIBD to 61.

The certification programme aimed to increase the proficiency of BIBD workforce in offering highly proficient consultation services for customers in managing their financial affairs to meet their life goals.

This certification programme is part of BIBD’s investment in developing its human capital and groom world-class professionals. This is in line with Brunei Vision 2035, to be a nation widely recognised for the accomplishments of its well-educated and highly skilled people.

One of BIBD’s programme participants, Vivian Lim Guek Pei from Perdana Privilege Banking, was recognised as the Highest Achiever for the Islamic Financial Planner certification. She received the special award during the IFP Awards ceremony held in Kuala Lumpur on January 30.

BIBD Chief Human Resources Officer Habibah binti Haji Harry said, “These qualifications equip our employees with market tools that enable them to improve BIBD customer experience. With their newly acquired skills and knowledge, they will provide more robust Islamic financial and wealth management solutions for our customers. BIBD will continue to develop its human capital as an essential strategy to meet the growing demands of our customers by providing innovative Islamic financial products.”
