Uphold good and prevent wrongdoings

Yesterday’s Friday sermon warned that lack of moral integrity can lead to a passive acceptance of wrongdoings.

“When committed openly with no existing moral responsibility and measures, it grows worse… and will be considered irrelevant, unimportant or commonplace,” said Imams during the sermon. “The Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) and other enforcement agencies have been entrusted with addressing and preventing violations against the country’s Syariah and civil laws.

“However, this does not mean that we should completely depend on them. Cooperation from the community and relevant parties is crucial.

“In conjunction with the 99th anniversary of the RBPF, let us pray for them to conduct their duties with honesty, integrity, sincerity and dedication. May our country remain peaceful, and continually under the protection and enduring grace of Allah the Almighty.”
