Two Malaysians were ordered to settle fines of BND800, or serve three weeks’ jail in default of payment, for using another person’s passport and assisting the act of false representation.

Magistrate Mohammad Marzuqi bin Sabtu heard from Immigration prosecutor Adi Yusra bin Haji Adanan that 18-year-old Glenn Law anak Nawin entered Brunei through the Sungai Tujoh control post at 10.41pm on December 31, 2019 using another person’s passport and had falsely represented himself to the immigration officer.

42-year-old Azim Zuefayrie bin Abdullah was driving the vehicle and knowingly assisted Glenn.

The immigration officer stopped the duo and handed the matter over to enforcement officers for investigation. It was revealed that Glenn used his brother’s passport as his own was kept by his parents.
