A taste of Borneo’s most expensive fish for Chinese New Year

Chinese New Year (CNY) celebrants opting to have their meal outside home may consider dining at the Pondok Seri Wangi Seafood Restaurant in Jerudong.

The restaurant will be offering special new dishes for the CNY Set which includes Steam Wild Empurau Fish with Superior Soya Sauce.

Restaurant Manager Ridwan Horas said that the restaurant has included the Empurau, the most expensive fresh water fish indigenous to Borneo, as part of their CNY Class A Empurau Fish Set Menu which caters to a table of 10.

Also offered are various set menus and for tables of six and two different sets for tables of 10.

The highlights of the menu include the Scallop Crab Meat Soup, Smoked Chicken, Fried Kam Hiong Buttermilk Tiger Prawn and Fried Vegetables with Mushroom and Fatt Choi.

The traditional Prosperity Salmon Yee Sang is also included in the menu along with complimentary Chinese Tea, Mandarin Oranges and the signature pudding.

The Yee Sang is also available as side orders at medium and large portion sizes.

The CNY Set meals will only be available from today till February 8 at Pondok Seri Wangi Seafood Restaurant in Jerudong.
