Duli Pengiran Muda Al-Muhtadee Billah College hosted its annual signature event ‘Studyrama: Higher Education and Career Fair’ at the auditorium of the college yesterday.
Special Duties Officer and Head of Higher Education Division at the Ministry of Education Siti Zuliana binti Haji Abdul Samad officiated the event.
Thirty-two participants from government and private sectors such as Ministry of Education, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Development, Ministry of Defence, Attorney General’s Chambers, Brunei Darussalam Meteorological Department, Autoriti Monetari Brunei Darussalam, Royal Brunei Airlines, QAF Brunei, Universiti Brunei Darussalam, Universiti Teknologi Brunei and other higher education institutions in the country participated.
The event sought to expose students to higher education opportunities available locally and abroad, to make students aware of career paths in relation to subjects and areas of interest with particular focus on engineering, business and finance, theology, law and health industries as well as to motivate students in their study through effective planning so that students are properly guided on their choice of courses.
Through Studyrama, students will get better insights into several opportunities available, especially on courses and scholarships offered from the government and non-government sectors and will also enable them to make informed decisions on their career paths as well as potential places of study, locally and abroad. There were also talks, briefings and workshops by the college and several agencies participating in the fair. The annual event was organised by the Higher Education Unit of the college.
