Special Force Regiment male orienteering champions

Special Force Regiment emerged winners in the team event of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) Male Orienteering Competition 2019/ 2020 after they accumulated 4,570 points at the Kampong Putat Primary School yesterday.

The Royal Brunei Land Force finished as runners-up after they tallied 4,430 points while the Ministry of Defence snatched third place after they collected 3,715 points.

The Royal Brunei Navy came in fourth after they recorded 3,665 points while Training Institute Royal Brunei Armed Forces finished fifth with 3,055 points. The Royal Brunei Air Force came in sixth place having collected 2,995 points.

In the open events, Abdul Aziz was announced the winner for the 29 years and below category while Awangku Abdul Halim won the 30-33 years category.

Sardi emerged winner in the 35-39 years old category while Othman claimed the above 40 years title.

The orienteering competition was aimed to test their map reading skills as well as their mental and physical endurance. In this competition, the participants were tasked to find allocated check points within a given time period.
