Pusat Ehsan gets BND1,000 boost, children’s books

Indian High Commissioner to Brunei Darussalam Ajaneesh Kumar presented a BND1,000 donation and a set of children’s books to Pusat Ehsan Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam yesterday. The books will be added to Pusat Ehsan’s Library collection.

Pusat Ehsan Executive Trustee Pengiran Datin Hajah Noraini binti Pengiran Dipa Negara Laila Diraja Pengiran Haji Abdul Momin received the donations.

Pusat Ehsan Senior Trustee Dato Paduka Haji Mohd Alimin bin Haji Abdul Wahab and a member of Pusat Ehsan’s Board of Trustees Pengiran Sarimah binti Pengiran Haji Abd Latiff also attended.

During the event, Pusat Ehsan children danced to Bollywood tunes, demonstrating moves they used during the Cultural Talent Festival held in December 2019.

The High Commissioner lauded the important role Pusat Ehsan plays in caring for special needs children in Brunei. The Indian High Commission in Brunei Darussalam supports Pusat Ehsan, and since 2018, has been conducting Yoga classes twice weekly for the special needs students. In the past, cultural troops from India staged performances for the Pusat Ehsan students.
