Tourism Malaysia has collaborated with Pan Bright Travel Service to promote holiday packages to Sarawak, Sabah and Labuan in conjunction with the Visit Malaysia 2020.
The ‘Jom ke Sarawak, Sabah & Labuan’ holiday packages were jointly launched by Director of Tourism Malaysia Brunei Darussalam Haji Ibrahim Seddiqi bin Talib and General Manager of Pan Bright Travel Service Johnnie Cheong.
Haji Ibrahim Seddiqi said, “We are excited to collaborate with Pan Bright Travel Service. The dedicated and professional team provide quality service and cost effective holiday packages to Malaysia.”
“These packages will give choices to Bruneians to explore more places in Malaysia as well as more experiences at tourism attractions particularly in Sarawak, Sabah and Labuan. Royal Brunei Airlines (RB) had extended their route to Tawau, Sandakan, Bintulu, Sibu as well as Kota Kinabalu and Kuching,” he said.
Speaking on the Coronavirus outbreak, Haji Ibrahim Seddiqi said the situation in Malaysia is currently under control as stated by Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah binti Wan Ismail recently.
“We have suspended flights from Wuhan and Hubei. Meanwhile, flights from other parts of China which are not affected are still scheduled as normal. There are seven cases that have been reported in Malaysia but it is still under control. Measures have been taken in all airports especially for entry to Malaysia. We have set up machines to detect and monitor tourists coming from China, Hong Kong and Taiwan,” he said. “For the past 10 years, Brunei Darussalam has remained the main contributor of Malaysia’s tourist arrivals making it among the important markets in the Malaysia Tourism sector. With a target of 20 million tourist arrivals and RM100 billion in tourist receipts, we hope to lure more Bruneians as well as international tourists into Malaysia during this Visit Malaysia 2020 campaign.”
Also present were Deputy High Commissioner at the Malaysian High Commission Nadia Azura binti Mohd Nudri, Executive Manager of Pan Bright Travel Service Vivien Lo, and representatives from the Sarawak Tourism Board, Sabah Tourism Board, Labuan Corporation and RB.
