In the fast moving world of the automobile industry, the demands on the business have never been greater, expectations of customers on vehicle quality, reliability, safety and utility are an all-time high and at the same time, overcapacity has put pressure on the worldwide industry to maintain and even reduce vehicle prices, said Managing Director of Pad Motors Sdn Bhd Haji Hambali bin Pehin Orang Kaya Shahbandar Dato Seri Paduka Haji Mohd Salleh at the soft launch of Proton’s updated models at the showroom in Beribi yesterday.
“The rapid rate of designs from the drawing board going on the road due to pressure from competitors too is unbelievable,” highlighted Haji Hambali.
Less than a year from the launching of the X70, Proton’s first SUV, regardless of its success, the other models have not been neglected. The Saga MC models not only share success in Malaysia but have proven to be even more successful than the X70 while sales for Exora, Persona and Iriz continue to improve.
“We have amazing line ups of models for 2020 as Proton will be looking to bolster its brand value and confidence, with better aftersales service and the introduction of new technology coming to its models.”
Haji Hambali further noted that from the Geely collaboration, the brand has finally put itself on a new level against its competitors this year.
The soft launch by PAD Motors Sdn Bhd, as the distributor for Proton cars in the country, saw the unveiling of the range of updated models, extensively revised last year namely the Iriz, Saga and Persona.
Bookings for the new models are now being accepted and the cars will be displayed at various roadshows soon with the first roadshow to take place at Times Square Shopping Centre on January 28, 2020.
Amazing promotions await all visitors and the new models will be going on tour soon with more events coming up.
