All new Toyota Corolla Altis, the all-time best-selling car of the world with over 46 million units produced since it was first introduced in 1966, was unveiled yesterday in the microsite at www.toyota.com.bn/first-digital-car-launch/ by NBT (Brunei) Sdn Bhd, the first in Brunei to officially launch a car in the digital realm.

Local media representatives previewed the new Toyota Corolla Altis on December 20, 2019 during the announcement of the NBT’s microsite car launch at Regal Blue Production.

Present at the ceremony were Senior General Manager (Sales and Marketing) of NBT (Brunei) Sdn Bhd Leong Cheng Soon and Marketing Manager of NBT (Brunei) Sdn Bhd Audrey Yong as well as other officials.

The Toyota Corolla, known as a benchmark for a quality-made, reliable and durable vehicle since it first entered the marketplace in 1966, has undergone a radical transformation since then.

Since its introduction, Corolla has relied on an unbeatable formula of combining safety, practicality and technology together in a fun-to-drive package.

Topped with Toyota’s legendary reputation for quality, durability and reliability, it’s no surprise that Corolla has enjoyed so much success over the years.

With an astonishing exterior design under the concept of ‘Shooting Robust’, the all-new Toyota Corolla Altis stands out with the sharp, sleek and solid sweeping lines. In term of its interior design, the Corolla Altis has been created under the concept of ‘Clean & Wide’ that offers a spacious cabin. Its design is considered to the ease of an actual use, fully equipped with many facilities that provide enhanced enjoyment and convenience throughout any journey.

The all-new Corolla Altis looking to emulate the success of its predecessors now comes with a option of 1.8L petrol engine and 1.6L petrol engine in order to respond to the needs of all customer targets. The 1.8L engine is fine-tuned to give better acceleration performance, while the 1.6L engine is designed to be perfectly suitable for daily driving.

Corolla’s transformation is largely in response to changing times, and the subsequent evolution in what customers need and expect from their vehicles. One thing, however, is timeless: monozukuri (crafting things), the founding spirit behind Corolla’s development from the very beginning.

The desire of Corolla’s first creator Chief Engineer Hasegawa was embodied in his ‘All As and Something Unique’ policy, which has served as the bedrock of Corolla’s pedigree since its inception. That is to say, there must be no compromises (All As) when it comes to making cars and, beyond meeting all objectives, it is essential to imbue the car with a defining personality that will captivate and delight customers (something unique).

Members of the public can check out the new Corolla Altis at the nearest Toyota showrooms starting tomorrow or visit www.toyota.com.bn/first-digital-car-launch/.
