A total of 24 participants of the ‘Mastera Translation Prize’ competition received appreciation at the national level from the Language and Literature Bureau (DBP) in its capacity as the Secretariat of the Southeast Asian Literature Council (MASTERA) in a presentation ceremony held yesterday at DBP’s Sarmayuda Hall.
During the event, five best national level participants also received cash and accreditation certificates. Present to distribute the appreciation gifts and certificates was Acting Director of DBP Suip bin Haji Abdul Wahab in his capacity as the Chairman of MASTERA Brunei Darussalam. Also present were senior officers, Southeast Asian Write Award recipients and members of MASTERA Brunei.
The purpose of the event was to show appreciation to the participants of the contest.
The event also saw the presentation of appreciation gifts to the panels involved in the contest. On September 28, 2019 a participant from Brunei, Abdul Baaqi bin Hisab was accredited as the recipient of ‘Translation Prize’ for Brunei Darussalam when he received accreditation from MASTERA Singapore.
