Forum to focus on youth participation, volunteerism

The Day of Action Forum on Youth Participation, Volunteerism and Leadership to National Development as part of the Brunei Chevening Youth Forum 2020 in conjunction with the Day of Action 2019 will take place on January 18-19 at the Core, Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD).

Themed ‘Solution Driven Generation’ the forum will be hosted by Chevening Alumni Brunei, Brunei Youth Council and Young Professionals Network.

Now on its 12th Edition, the Brunei Chevening Youth Forum (BCYF) is a platform that brings together young leaders and Chevening alumni members from Brunei and the region to discuss insights, challenges and opportunities to the development of Brunei.

The upcoming forum will gather over 250 young people from across all districts to collectively promote, discuss and learn about youth participation, volunteerism and leadership to national development aimed at creating, enabling and championing young people’s participation in a meaningful and dynamic way.

Topics that will be discussed include Bruneian Youth as Future Ready Agents of Change; The Solution Driven Generation; Coming Together for the Future of Brunei; Envisioning Brunei 2025, Brunei 2035 and Brunei 2050; Townhall Session on Youth Issues and Opportunities and Breakout sessions on volunteerism, resilience, sustainability of doing good

Entrance is free and youth from various associations, institutions, organisations including individuals are encouraged to attend the forum, made possible by the Chevening Alumni Programme Fund.
