Five students head to Florida for internship

Five undergraduate students from Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB) under the Faculty of Engineering (FEng) and School of Computing and Informatics (SCI) left the Sultanate for an industrial experience of six months in Florida, the United States (US).

It is part of an internship programme under the UTB Experience PLUS in collaboration with Piper Aircraft Inc starting January 13.

The students are Kua Chun Hau, Mohd Alai Arizul bin Abdullah, Ronald Mook Wu Chong, Ng Jia Ying and Dayangku Siti Nur Diyana @ Dayangku Raudhah binti Pengiran Shahminan. They possess outstanding academic records and underwent a competitive selection process by Piper Aircraft and UTB.

At Piper, the students will gain industrial exposure and enhance their practical and industrial experience as part of their undergraduate degree studies. The undergraduates will be monitored by the university through progress reports.

UTB and Piper Aircraft Inc signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the internship programme on September 4, 2013. Piper Aircraft Inc is headquartered in Vero Beach, Florida.
