In line with the Brunei Basketball Association’s (BBA) focus on youth development, the inaugural Brunei Youth Cup will tip off at the Brunei Basketball Association Court in Batu Bersurat tomorrow.
A total of six teams will vie for honours in the tournament for men aged 21 and below.
Each team is required to have at least three players under the age of 18 on their roster with at least one under-18 player playing on the court at all times.
Co-Chairman of the Organising Committee Darren Yap said, “As we move into a new year and new decade, we want to refresh and reinforce our focus on developing the future potential of Brunei basketball.
“This is why our first tournament in 2020 is tailored so that our young players have the opportunity to play competitive basketball under the guidance of more experienced players and coaches,” he said.
The six participating teams are Wolves, JCYS, Higherbeingbn, Setia Warriors, TSK and Kurapak.
