Brunei GDP to grow 4.7pc this year: PECC

Brunei Darussalam’s gross domestic product (GDP) growth is projected to be 1.8 per cent last year, 4.7 per cent this year, 3.6 per cent in 2021 and 3.5 per cent in 2022, according to a new report by the Pacific Economic Cooperation Council (PECC). The 14th annual State of the Region report for 2019-2020 by the PECC which was released recently also highlighted that economic growth in the Asia-Pacific region is expected to decline to 3.3 per cent in 2019 and to remain at this level until 2024, a drop from the 3.8 per cent recorded in 2017 and 2018.
