Held at the Kuala Belait Post Office, Mumong; the campaign was in conjunction with the 145th World Post Day, and aimed to help bolster the blood bank supply.

Chief Superintendent of Post at the Postal Services Department Haji Mohd Fouzi bin Haji Abdullah explained that this was the first time such a campaign was held in the Belait District.

“We hope to conduct more campaigns such as this not only in the Brunei-Muara District, but also across all four districts, which serves to maintain the much needed blood supply to those in need,” he concluded.

Some 46 participants ranging from staff to members of the public gathered at the post office to donate a pint of blood each during the campaign.

Successful blood donors received a variety of prizes as part of the campaign’s lucky draw; as well as food and drinks as replenishment after bleeding for a good cause.
