A total of 37 students, instructors, and staff members of the Institute of Brunei Technical Education (IBTE) Sultan Bolkiah Campus (SBC) participated in a blood donation campaign at the campus’ multipurpose hall yesterday.

The event was organised by the Blood Donation Centre, Department of Laboratory Services, Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha (RIPAS) Hospital of the Ministry of Health.

The campaign aimed to help replenish the hospital’s blood supply, while raising awareness on the importance of donating blood.

The Blood Donation Centre requires all blood types for transfusion, especially for Thalassemia patients, patients with bleeding problems and patients who have undergone surgery.

Regular and voluntary blood donations are essential to ensure that the supply is kept at an optimum level.

Successful blood donors received a healthy pack of meals as replenishment.
