A total of 17 officers from the Islamic Legal Unit of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Attorney General’s Chambers (AGC) concluded the three-day Law Drafting course at the Ministry of Religious Affairs recently.
Acting Director of Islamic Legal Unit at the Ministry of Religious Affairs Haji Hardifadhillah bin Haji Mohd Salleh presented the certificates to participants in a ceremony yesterday.
Acting Law Drafter at AGC Pengiran Hajah Siti Rahmah binti Pengiran Haji Mohammad facilitated the course. The course aimed to improve participants’ knowledge and skills on basic principles of law-making to ensure the enacted law is organised, methods of assessment and selection of laws and other sources of reference, procedures/methods on drafting, the formulation of a basic objective in drafting the law, and how to conduct legal investigations effectively.
It also served to improve understanding and skills on law principles, their translation and interpretation procedures and interpretations of the statutes.
