An unemployed man was sentenced to a month’s imprisonment on Wednesday, after he pleaded guilty to a charge of trespassing.
Magistrate Mohammad Marzuqi bin Sabtu heard from Deputy Public Prosecutor Sabrina binti Haji Mahmud that Pengiran Eddy Fairol bin Pengiran Awang, 44, had trespassed into the old Criminal Investigation Department (CID) building at Jalan Ong Sum Ping at 4pm on July 17, where he was seen by a security guard.
The defendant was spotted at Block C of the building, which was known by the guard to be unoccupied.
When the police arrived, they found the defendant on the fifth floor of the building. The defendant was previously convicted of theft in 1994.
