The leading technology provider to the global travel industry Sabre Corporation last Saturday night recognised a selection of Brunei’s leading travel agents at the fourth Annual Sabre Brunei Appreciation Night.
The gala event at Tarindak D’Seni in the capital was organised to highlight the continued commitment of Sabre customers, and to thank key travel industry partners for their contribution to Sabre’s success in Brunei.
Leading the top 10 list of the coveted top travel agent Awards was Century Travel Centre Sdn Bhd, BSB, while nine other travel agencies from across Brunei were named in order of their positions – Pan Bright Travel Service, Kuala Belait; Pan Bright Travel Service, BSB; Freme Travel Services Sdn Bhd, BSB; Anthony Tours & Travel Agency Sdn Bhd, BSB; Darussalam Holdings Sdn Bhd, BSB; Freme Travel Services Sdn Bhd, Kuala Belait; Straits Central Agencies (B) Sdn Bhd; Century Travel Centre Sdn Bhd, Manggis and JJ Tour Service (B) Sdn Bhd.
General Manager of Sabre Travel Network Brunei Irene Soon presented the top travel agent awards.
The travel agencies who recorded the highest growth of Free Independent Travellers (FIT) segment bookings based on fiscal year 2018-2019, versus 2017-2018, also received awards. For Category A, awarded to travel agents with over 10,000 FIT bookings a year, the winners were Freme Travel Services Sdn Bhd and Pan Bright Travel Service, while for Category B, awarded to the travel agents with fewer than 10,000 FIT bookings a year, the winners were Continental Yachting Sdn Bhd; Grace Travel Agency Sdn Bhd and Titian Travel and Tours.
“The annual Sabre Brunei Appreciation Night is a great opportunity for industry leaders to come together to celebrate the achievements of their peers, and for Sabre to show appreciation to its partners for their continued support,” said the General Manager of Sabre Travel Network Brunei.
The event was attended by almost 180 representatives from various travel agencies, airlines, and national tourism offices, including Royal Brunei Airlines (RB), Malaysia Airlines, Singapore Airlines, Baiduri Bank Berhad, Cityneon Brunei, Netcom Computer House, TTCO Enterprise, and Tourism Malaysia.
