A host of activities geared towards appreciating Brunei’s historical heritage were organised at the second Brunei History Centre open day in the capital yesterday.
Among the activities included an aerobics session, recreational cycling, bazaar and several games and competitions aimed to attract public participation and boost the centre’s engagement with the public.
According to a press release, the second edition allows the centre’s staff to interact closer with the public through activities, facilities and services provided by the centre and coincides with the school holiday season. “It is also aimed at attracting public interest to better understand and know history through activities and our facilities in the centre, while also allowing our staff and the public to take part in entrepreneurial activities.”
Competitions such as the ‘history photo selfie contest’ was one such activity during the open day yesterday. The recreational cycling was launched by Legislative Council member Yang Berhormat Naim bin Haji Kamis.
