The Bersanding ceremony was conducted in regal splendour, in accordance with royal Malay customs, with the bridal couple resplendent in matching traditional attire.

The ceremony began with the traditional Hadrah as the bride entered the hall accompanied by her brother Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Anak Haji Abdul Kadir bin Pengiran Maharaja Lela Sahibul Kahar Pengiran Anak Haji Mohammad Yusof, beautifully clad in a gold-coloured dress and accompanied by a retinue of pahawai and dayang-dayang bearing ceremonial candles and royal regalias. It was followed by the groom’s entrance in an intricate gold songket attire.

Following the placing of the groom’s hands on the bride to signify a blessing and the Selawat, or salutations upon Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), a Doa Selamat was recited by Pehin Orang Kaya Paduka Seri Utama Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Salim bin Haji Besar to bless the newly-wedded couple.

Towards the end of the ceremony, Their Majesties and members of the royal family received a Junjung Ziarah from the newly-wedded couple.

Thousands of guests were invited to the bersanding ceremony, including Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran-Pengiran Cheteria, Pengiran-Pengiran Peranakan, state dignitaries and senior government officials.
