Rover Scout Crew 1102 sharpen skills

A total of 24 Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) Rover Scout Crew 1102 members completed the Rover Scout leadership course at the Outward Bound Brunei Darussalam (OBBD), Batang Duri Camp in the Temburong District recently.

The course aimed to produce quality UNISSA Rover Scout Crew possessing strong mental and physical strength, and to nurture in them a sense of care to carrying out charity and community work. The primary purpose of the course was to develop qualities of resilience in facing challenges beyond their normal range.

Discussions and presentations were held, alongside activities to develop participants’ skills and self-confidence. There was also ‘flying fox,’ basic compass and map reading lessons, jungle trekking and rafting down the Temburong River. They also carried out community work at the Kampong Selangan Mosque.
