RBLF commander conferred Singapore’s Meritorious Service Medal

Commander of the Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF) Brigadier General Dato Seri Pahlawan Khairul Hamed bin Haji Lampoh, was conferred Singapore’s prestigious military medal, Meritorious Service Medal (Military) by Singapore’s President Halimah Yacob, for his role in enhancing the defence relations between the RBLF and Singapore Army.

Minister for Defence of Singapore Dr Ng Eng Hen presented the award to the RBLF Commander at an investiture ceremony at the Ministry of Defence, Republic of Singapore on Wednesday.

The bilateral military cooperation between both armed forces has strengthened through various bilateral interactions including official visits, staff talks, exercises and courses, enhancing the professional development of personnel from both armed forces.

The bilateral exercises – Exercise Maju Bersama and Exercise Rintis Bersama – continue to underpin the long-standing defence relationship between both armies.

Prior to the investiture ceremony, the RBLF Commander made courtesy calls to Dr Ng Eng Hen and Chief of Army of Singapore Armed Forces Major General Goh Si Hou.
